Ohio Craft Museum Internship Opportunities
The Ohio Craft Museum offers professional internship opportunities on an ongoing basis. Internships can be tailored to the individual’s interests, availability and educational requirements. Typically an intern will work 8-10 hours a week under the supervision of OCM staff. These unpaid internships are offered to students enrolled in university at the undergraduate or graduate level, or for recent graduates. Students can apply for college credit under the guidance of their adviser.

Event Specialist: This intern will assist with event management activities including planning and setting up holiday events, and planning and executing details for gallery openings, community outreach events, event marketing and more.
Marketing Specialist: This intern will assist with setting up and maintaining new social media campaigns, assisting with current social media platforms, writing blog posts, updating websites, marketing research, media distribution and revision and expansion of press contact list.
Collections Assistant: An intern in this position will work with the museum director and registrar to document, track and record the artworks in the permanent collection while updating the storage, numbering and labeling system.
Retail Specialist: This intern will assist with the operations of the gift shop and Winterfair mini-shop. They’ll research trends in fine craft, manage inventory flow, recruit local artists for consignment sales, maintain social media marketing strategies and develop and manage an online store.
General Assistant: An intern in this position will gain a broad view of how a non-profit works, and will conduct activities across all departments including exhibitions, events, marketing and administration. This intern will also assist with outreach efforts at community events, including on location at Winterfair, the Columbus Arts Festival and other events.
All internships are unpaid. Schedules are flexible.
Internships are offered in the autumn, winter/spring and summer.
