40th Annual Fine Art and Fine Craft Fair

Opens for Holiday Shopping

Thanksgiving Weekend

November 24–26, 2017

(Covington, KY)— Commemorating its 40th year, Winterfair, a juried fair of

fine art and fine craft by over 250 artists from across the country, welcomes

shoppers to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, November

24–26. The convention center is just over the Roebling Suspension Bridge from

Cincinnati, an easy drive from both sides of the river.

Featuring ceramics, glass, wearable art, jewelry, sculpture, painting and

photography, Winterfair is an artists’ market where discerning shoppers will find

everything from a beautiful watercolor perfect for their home to a soft leather

duffel bag. Items range in price from as little as $15 to several thousand dollars.

“Winterfair is a fun, festive start to the holiday season, with unique gifts

handcrafted by artists from across the country,” commented Betty Talbott,

executive director of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, the organizers of the fair. Among

the exhibitors are a number of returning favorites, along with many new artists.

Always popular, California artists Alex and Mona Szabados are back with their

stunning enamel jewelry. Newcomers Tyler Jury and Clay Simpson of Louisville

create beautiful leather totes, clutches, and even koozies and coasters.

Admission: $7; Ohio Designer Craftsmen members free; children 12 and under

free. Free return admission. Tickets can be purchased online at

www.winterfair.org or at the door. Winterfair hours are Friday, November 24, 10

a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, November 25, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Sunday, November 26,

11 a.m.—4 p.m.

A special section of booths will feature artists from Kentucky Crafted. A

Marketplace section on the second floor will offer gourmet treats for purchase,

including beer and honey soap bars, scrubs and lotions by Arthropod Apothecary;

butterfinger, key lime and Kentucky bourbon fudge by the Sweet Shoppe; and

wine frappés by the Nectar of the Vine.

Winterfair is produced by Ohio Designer Craftsmen, which receives ongoing

funding from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Ohio Arts Council and the
