Susan Ewing, ODC member and Associate Dean and Distinguished Professor in the School of Fine Arts, Miami University, has created an outdoor sculpture for the Ohio Craft Museum.
“Double Broken Window,” a 2900-pound, 10’6”-high sculpture, was installed by crane in front of the museum on Friday, April 20.
This new sculpture was fabricated and donated by Ewing to replace her previous creation, which was installed in 1995. The piece was removed last year due to conservation issues. This time around, the artist used Cor-Ten Steel, which is designed to weather and develop a natural patina over time. The material will not deteriorate, however.
