15th ANNUAL ART STUDIO CLEARANCE SALE
Moves to New Location
To Welcome More Bargain Hunters
JANUARY 24–25, 2009

(Columbus, Ohio)—Due to a steady increase of bargain hunters over the years, Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s 15th annual Art Studio Clearance Sale, scheduled for January 24–25, is moving from its former venue at Veteran’s Memorial to a larger space in the Lausche Building at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Located on the north side of 17th Avenue and easily accessed from I-71, the building and its adjacent parking area can accommodate a growing number of visitors.

This year’s sale event will feature limited-edition and one-of-a-kind fine art and craft works by 150 artists, many of whom have exhibited at Columbus Winterfair and the Columbus Arts Festival. Reduced prices typically fall 20% or more below normal prices. The sale will feature blown glass, fine wearables, wheel-thrown pottery, jewelry, painting and photography. Shoppers will be able to purchase these items directly from the artists, who can explain the ideas and processes that went into creating the work.

“This is the only time during the year that many of these artists reduce their prices,” stated ODC executive director Sharon Kokot. “Savvy shoppers have discovered that this is the perfect place to purchase high-quality, handcrafted work at lower prices. And this year, we have more artists, many of whom are participating for the first time, so the selection of items will be better than ever.”

The Lausche Building at the Ohio State Fairgrounds is located on the north side of 17th Ave., directly off Interstate 71. Hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, and noon–5 p.m. on Sunday, January 25. Admission is just $6; ODC members and children 12 and under free.
