PBS CRAFT IN AMERICA SERIES
Saturday, October 3, 2009

(Columbus, Ohio)—The Ohio Craft Museum is pleased to partner with WOSU Public Media to preview an episode from the second season of PBS’s Peabody Award-winning Craft in America, a series covering the history, artists and techniques of craft in the United States. The two new episodes, “Origins” and “Process,” will air on WOSU TV on Wednesday, October 7, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. “Process” features Ohio Designer Craftsmen members and nationally recognized metalsmiths David and Roberta Williamson of Berea, Ohio.

The museum will host a free preview party on Saturday, October 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  The episode “Process,” in which the Williamsons are featured, will be played in its entirety from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Williamsons will be on hand during the party to answer questions about their collaborative work and about their experience with the documentary.

Guests will enjoy food and drinks while also viewing the museum’s current exhibition, “Conversations in Fabric,” an exhibition of contemporary quilts that communicate through color, texture and imagery, as well as through incorporation of the written word. For further information about the preview party, telephone (614) 486-4402.
