Students will use fabric as their canvas to weave through buttons, beads and trinkets to create a scene that will tell a story. Finished pieces will be attached to a mat board and will be suitable for framing.
Artist Ricki Rosen holds a BA in Italian Renaissance art history and an MA in art education. She was an elementary art teacher in the Pickerington Local Schools for 17 years. A baby dress becomes her canvas in her art. She uses various materials such as fabric, buttons, beads, trinkets, photos and jewelry, weaving them through her art to tell a story.
