I am a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in ceramics. My work fosters empathy and kindness with the animal other. My work is placed within the context of the Anthropocene and the mass extinction we are living through. The animal draws attention to the way that human beings have otherized the natural world. I create work that elevates the viewer’s relationship with the animal body. Ambiguity is a strong component of my work. My choice of using clay stems from both its ubiquity on this world and its capacity to inspire care. I find clay to be incredibly versatile.
