St. John is a ceramics artist and teacher with an MFA from the Ohio University. His work is concerned with creating objects and experiences that foster empathy and kindness with the animal other. In this respect, the animal body serves as a multivalent facilitator, and he returns to it often. He considers himself a multidisciplinary artist who currently specializes in ceramics. Music and digital technologies are also important to his practice. Christopher has work in the permanent collections of both the Museum of the North in Fairbanks, Alaska, and the Hawaii State Art Museum.
