Each one-of-a-kind piece of adaptive reuse tin jewelry is joyfully handcrafted by Christine Terrell from locally sourced, free-range decorative tins. It is a core principle that my little business treads as lightly on the planet as possible.
That’s why I use:
Locally sourced upcycled tin containers that most consider trash.
No precious or semi-precious materials.
Steel wire & surgical stainless steel ear wires.
Eco-friendly & recycleable packaging.

Each piece of jewelry is designed and hand-made in my studio in Columbus, Indiana. The art form is called Millefiori and was created over 1000 years ago by Venetian glass blowers. The same art technique has been adapted for use in Polymer clay. The process involves wrapping and layering the colored clay so that each color is a different layer in the clay design. No paint or automated machinery is used in the production of this art work.

I began my artistic journey in 2009 by attending the Columbus College of Art & Design, where I earned my BFA in Fine Art focusing in ceramics and small scale metals. Following graduation it wasn’t financially feasible for me to continue creating jewelry, so I dove hands first into clay and have been playing with mud ever since. In the years following graduation I taught art, restored art, and served in the non-profit arts sector as a grant maker, but always had a desire to create full-time. In 2021 I decided to take a chance on myself, forming Glazed & Confused Creations pursue my craft as a full-time career.
Having been born and raised in Florida, my work is heavily influenced by the colors of the island and Caribbean, while my designs are inspired from both the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras.

Roxanne began collecting beads long before she started making her own glass. Many of her jewelry pieces incorporates several different bead weaving techniques combined with the glass artistry created with the torch and kiln. By blending these techniques, each glass piece is enhanced and takes on its own unique personality.
