I did sales and marketing for years and worked for a company where nothing was ever enough. That’s when I decided it was time to take something I’ve loved since I was a child and make it my profession. Art is something that has always came naturally to me. I pull from what i know, growing up on the coast was very influential for me. I like to make pieces that come from my experiences.
30 years ago I made the decision to be a full time artist and have never looked back. It all started with a 3 hour lesson from a friend in how to cut and fuse glass and i was hooked. I could see there were endless possibilities with glass. I decided I wanted to use glass to evoke the emotion of joy!

Each piece of jewelry is designed and hand-made in my studio in Columbus, Indiana. The art form is called Millefiori and was created over 1000 years ago by Venetian glass blowers. The same art technique has been adapted for use in Polymer clay. The process involves wrapping and layering the colored clay so that each color is a different layer in the clay design. No paint or automated machinery is used in the production of this art work.

I began my artistic journey in 2009 by attending the Columbus College of Art & Design, where I earned my BFA in Fine Art focusing in ceramics and small scale metals. Following graduation it wasn’t financially feasible for me to continue creating jewelry, so I dove hands first into clay and have been playing with mud ever since. In the years following graduation I taught art, restored art, and served in the non-profit arts sector as a grant maker, but always had a desire to create full-time. In 2021 I decided to take a chance on myself, forming Glazed & Confused Creations pursue my craft as a full-time career.
Having been born and raised in Florida, my work is heavily influenced by the colors of the island and Caribbean, while my designs are inspired from both the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras.

These images are hand drawn on a computer using a Wacom tablet. The resulting limited edition print is a museum quality inkjet (giclee). They are produced in limited editions and have an archival life of approximately 100 years. ‘SeriouslyPunny’ notecards were created to absolve any shred of guilt you may have for not contacting someone for a while. The relief felt after sending one of our cards is third only to being healthy and drop-dead good looking!
