Just A Jar is a family operated letterpress and design studio run by Sara & Bobby Rosenstock. Our studio and store front is located in the beautiful historic Appalachian river town of Marietta, Ohio. We specialize in custom woodcut and letterpress posters. Printing by hand, the old-fashioned way, from hand carved wood blocks and hand set type on our antique printing presses along the banks of the Ohio River in historic Marietta, Ohio.

Heather Grandmont McQueen grew up in New Hampshire, studied Metalsmithing at Bowling Green State University, and now resides outside Cleveland, Ohio. Heather’s designs are inspired by a fusion of organic and geometric forms that are elegantly understated. Her jewelry incorporates hammered metals with a focus on delicate details to give the jewelry a rustic, time worn feel with a modern edge.

Roxanne began collecting beads long before she started making her own glass. Many of her jewelry pieces incorporates several different bead weaving techniques combined with the glass artistry created with the torch and kiln. By blending these techniques, each glass piece is enhanced and takes on its own unique personality.

My favorite thing about making art is the making. It’s the creative process that I love most and the discoveries that happen along the way. Nature inspires nearly everything I create. My work explores the beauty of objects whose histories are muddled, hidden and lost. Things that are old, dusty and weathered, handwritten words in forgotten volumes and stoic faces peering out from frozen snapshots. The bird-like figures who appear throughout are the guardians of it all. Guardians of dreams, guardians of history, guardians of people and place. Each piece is built from a collection of smaller parts and each smaller part is integral to the identity of the larger work. When it all comes together; the objects, the birds and the decorative marks, new identities are created, new stories are told and new treasures are born.

Columbus College of Art & Design alumni Anne Holman and Jen Townsend joined forces in 2014 to create The Smithery, after many years of working independently on their own lines of jewelry. Anne and Jen are now working in a growing community of makers and creatives in their new studio at The Fort, an incredible restoration project on the south side of Columbus. Their collaborative line of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind and limited-edition jewelry explores their shared love of the outdoors, and protecting its natural resources.

Beautiful ESSEX GLASS Jewelry is handcrafted using kiln-forming glass techniques. Colorful sheet glasses are layered with glass frit and stringer; each color is individually cut and placed to create the vibrant designs. Glass “beads” are fused, then cleaned and polished. Pieces are assembled with Sterling Silver compontents.
